Or… The Day the Earth Stood Still
Stella McCartney has been evolving creatively at an incredibly rapid pace. She has really come in to her own and nothing else she has done speaks as loudly as her last Fall-Winter 2011 Collections. I say this for my own very personal reasons. I am always looking for great mood board themes for up and coming photo shoot editorials.
Her last collection may not be new news, but as a Fashion Photographer having access to all of the best designers in the world and photographing their wares, I have to say that what she showed this year works so well with what I wish to accomplish graphically and artistically in my images.
Her eclectic mix of 80’s wide shouldered David Bowie jackets and 1930’s Myrna Loy Perfect Dresses makes an incredibly juicy fashion cocktail that could easily inspire the most jaded photographer out there to come up with a great fashion editorial spread.
Her Buck Rogers Gold & Silver Space attire adds to the potential of an incredibly fun Space Story that could be based on the classic Sci-Fi Film The Day the Earth Stood Still or Lost in Space.
Now I just have to find the right magazine to drop this on… SPACY?
