The Benjamin Kanarek Blog Top Fifteen Models for Spring-Summer 2012
Our selection of the Top Fifteen Models for Spring-Summer 2012 is based on our impressions of those making serious waves on catwalks during the New York, London, Milan and Paris Fashion Weeks for next season with no differentiation between top models, confirmed models and new faces. Our choice was not based on rocket science, but more to do with feedback from the industry and our often uncanny and accurate gut instinct.
As a caveat to the above, for once in quite some time, a French Model is becoming one of the most requested models in the Fashion Industry. After a promising Fall-Winter 2011-2012 Season, the career of French model, Aymeline Valade, is sky rocketing, with 55 shows for Spring-Summer 2012 (She opened 9 shows and closed 7). Despite her age (26), Aymeline, born in Montpellier (south of France) is still a New Face in the Fashion Industry. Her angular and naturally boyish features are quite predominant yet easily transformable into a femme fatale role. She only started modelling two years ago. I guess that 20 years of ballet dance training, helped her to build one of the best formed Models body on the scene today along with Karmen Pedaru and Karlie Kloss.
