The Benjamin Kanarek Blog 2010 Camera Lens Favorites Part 2 Updated

Medium to Long Telephoto Zoom Lenses

In Part 2 of my Lens Favorites, I want to share with you some lens options for when you want to go beyond the Medium Telephoto focal length.  All of the lenses I have chosen effectively go from between 70-100 mm to a maximum of 200 to  400mm in the APSC and 4/3rds format. I call these Medium to Long Telephoto lenses.
The lenses I have mentioned are also very fast (i.e. around f 2.8 maximum aperture) considering their focal range and thus are quite usable under lower than normal lighting conditions, compared to you standard kit lenses out there. These lenses are a wonderful compliment to the lenses I recommended in Part 1 of this series.
I would feel no reluctance what so ever in using most of these fine lenses for professional applications.  So, if you are in the market for something other than your standard kit lens, I suggest you have a look at these.
