Gallery 1962 Opening with Catherine Lupis Thomas

Catherine Lupis Thomas, is a multi-faceted multi media pop artist and entrepreneur whom I featured back in September in my Paris Street Fashion Stuff segment.

Well not only does she own the very trendy Montmartre Paris, clothing boutique called “1962”, but has just opened her Gallery on 3, rue Tholozé in Paris called “Gallery 1962″. Her first show features…”Catherine Lupis Thomas” aka “Herself”. I love her collages. A mix of hand painting and vintage cuts from some of the most celebrated magazines of the epoch. Catherine has a natural intuitive sense of composition, balance and framing that cannot be learned. I guess you might say that she has the Knack. Her playful pieces such as “Bra’s on Hanger’s” mobile art or her Paper Maché hangers scream, “I am having FUN and love to PLAY!”. A playful child in adult clothing is how I might describe Catherine Lupis Thomas. Her work is a real treat and the kind of colorful “Eye Candy” we need in these very dark days of December.

I just wanted to share with you my very short walk through video vignette shown below which I shot on my iPhone after a couple of Martini’s (oooppppssss).
