In a stormy wind swept atmospheric ambiance, Benjamin Kanarek photographs Chinese Super Model Du Juan, in “Modern White“, for the 7th Anniversary September Issue of VOGUE China.
Rather than diving deeply in to the predominantly black leather and psychedelic prints of the Fall-Winter 2012-2013 fashion season, stylist Julie Ragolia decided to take on another approach by introducing a breath of fresh air wrapped in immaculate white graphic shapes and textures and neatly tied up with silver accessories using wide and sculptural cuff shapes.
From Alexander Wang’s white leather military coat to Céline’s sporty sweater a Chanel three-piece suit – jacket, skirt and pants, Balenciaga stiff A-line skirts with doubled front panels, Yves Saint Laurent suit with interwoven Calla lilies pattern, Stella McCartney imprint A-line mini skirt and top to Thierry Mugler peplum skirt with long fringes.
A “Modern White” and wind swept moment with a thoroughly modern and momentous model, Du Juan!
