Fade in from white. A girl alone in a stark and faded room looks over to the clock and waits for a call or that visit that may never happen. Suddenly the door bell rings, she looks up very deliberately studying the situation before making her decision. Slowly getting up she very cautiously tip toes toward the door. Reaching for the door knob she hesitates for a moment and whispers, “it won’t work, it doesn’t matter any more…” then slowly spins on her heel and returns to her place she came from, now sure of her decision and pleased that she will no longer have to wait.
