Today was one of those rare days in my life where I had an epiphany. In fact it was more of a rude awakening. I have never really been in to the works of Wedding photographers and I have seen more than I wish spending the time having to recall. But something happened today that radically shifted that paradigm. That was the discovery of a Toronto based Photographer named Jeremy Clay.<\/span>

His natural sense of composition so seamlessly executed was apparent throughout his presentation. I must admit, I was brought to tears by one of his B&W compositions that touched me profoundly. I then thought, “What if he could just apply his manner of ‘Being’ <\/strong>when shooting those ‘Events’ and just do the same thing with models”, just like Arthur Elgort<\/strong><\/a> would do,\u00a0 he could fill a void that exists in the m\u00e9tier today. I started to worry, thinking “Fuck, he is going to start to superimpose all of those none ‘rule rules’ about shooting Fashion and it will come out rigid and totally anally retentive… Yikes.” <\/span><\/p>\n

I think he gets it though and if he applies the same grace he does in how he approaches his other projects, I think we may have the next Big Thing.<\/span><\/p>\n

Geez who knows, I was on the mark when I introduced Walter Chin<\/strong> <\/strong>to Marie-Jos\u00e9 Eymere Jalou the Editor in Chief of L’Officiel<\/strong>,<\/strong> that finally got him a contract with Conde Nast, so why not this time? Just introduced him to the Director of FORD<\/strong> Model Agency Canada, so Time will Tell.<\/p>\n
