\nPerhaps the poet is imagining herself leaving Egypt as a child (though I\u2019ve heard some interpret this poem as referring to an adult sojourner solicitously guiding an aged parent) \u2013 how might you imaginatively locate yourself in the \u201cgoing out\u201d story this year?\u00a0 Feel free to play with multiple personae, multiple versions of your own \u201cgoing out\u201d story\u2026<\/em>

\nWishing you a joyous holiday, an experience of deepening and lightening. \u00a0For many years I had a tradition of calling an old friend on the eve of the\u00a0holiday\u00a0with the sentiment, “I’ll be looking for you as we all go out from Egypt tonight.” \u00a0Perhaps think about who you want to call to (re)connect with in this season; who will you \u201cbe looking for\u201d as you go out from Egypt this year and (re)claim your freedom?
