May this Independence Day be the one where all that you wished for, becomes a reality.<\/span><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #333333;\"><strong>Benjamin Kanarek &amp; The BKBlog Team<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #333333;\"><strong> <\/strong><\/span><strong>Independence Day<\/strong>, commonly known as the <strong>Fourth of July<\/strong>, is a <a title=\"Federal holidays in the United States\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Federal_holidays_in_the_United_States\">federal holiday<\/a> in the <a title=\"United States\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/United_States\">United States<\/a> commemorating the adoption of the <a title=\"United States Declaration of Independence\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/United_States_Declaration_of_Independence\">Declaration of Independence<\/a> on July 4, 1776, declaring independence from the <a title=\"Kingdom of Great Britain\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Kingdom_of_Great_Britain\">Kingdom of Great Britain<\/a>. Independence Day is commonly associated with <a title=\"Fireworks\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Fireworks\">fireworks<\/a>,  parades, barbecues, carnivals, fairs, picnics, concerts, baseball  games, family reunions, political speeches and ceremonies, in addition  to various other public and private events celebrating the history,  government, and traditions of the United States. Independence Day is the  <a title=\"National Day\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/National_Day\">national day<\/a> of the United States.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<figure id=\"attachment_19486\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-19486\" style=\"width: 560px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a rel=\"attachment wp-att-19486\" href=\"https:\/\/thebkmag.com\/2011\/07\/04\/happy-4th-of-july\/070703_fireworks_hmed_6a\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-large wp-image-19486\" title=\"070703_fireworks_hmed_6a\" src=\"https:\/\/thebkmag.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/independence-day-560x436.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"560\" height=\"436\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-19486\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Independence Day<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">During the <a title=\"American Revolution\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/American_Revolution\">American Revolution<\/a>, the legal separation of the <a title=\"Thirteen Colonies\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Thirteen_Colonies\">Thirteen Colonies<\/a> from Great Britain occurred on July 2, 1776, when the <a title=\"Second Continental Congress\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Second_Continental_Congress\">Second Continental Congress<\/a> voted to approve a <a title=\"Lee Resolution\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Lee_Resolution\">resolution of independence<\/a> that had been proposed in June by <a title=\"Richard Henry Lee\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Richard_Henry_Lee\">Richard Henry Lee<\/a> of <a title=\"Virginia\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Virginia\">Virginia<\/a>.<sup id=\"cite_ref-3\"><a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Independence_Day_%28United_States%29#cite_note-3\">[4]<\/a><\/sup><sup id=\"cite_ref-tws20novllpkl_4-0\"><a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Independence_Day_%28United_States%29#cite_note-tws20novllpkl-4\">[5]<\/a><\/sup> After voting for independence, Congress turned its attention to the <a title=\"United States Declaration of Independence\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/United_States_Declaration_of_Independence\">Declaration of Independence<\/a>, a statement explaining this decision, which had been prepared by a <a title=\"Committee of Five\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Committee_of_Five\">Committee of Five<\/a>, with <a title=\"Thomas Jefferson\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Thomas_Jefferson\">Thomas Jefferson<\/a> as its principal author. Congress debated and revised the Declaration, finally approving it on July 4. A day earlier, <a title=\"John Adams\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/John_Adams\">John Adams<\/a> had written to his wife <a title=\"Abigail Adams\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Abigail_Adams\">Abigail<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<div>The second day of July, 1776, will be the most memorable epoch in  the history of America. I am apt to believe that it will be celebrated  by succeeding generations as the great anniversary festival. It ought to  be commemorated as the day of deliverance, by solemn acts of devotion  to God Almighty. It ought to be solemnized with pomp and parade, with  shows, games, sports, guns, bells, bonfires, and illuminations, from one  end of this continent to the other, from this time forward forever  more.<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Adams&#8217;s prediction was off by two days. From the outset, Americans  celebrated independence on July 4, the date shown on the much-publicized  Declaration of Independence, rather than on July 2, the date the  resolution of independence was approved in a closed session of Congress.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<figure id=\"attachment_19487\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-19487\" style=\"width: 510px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a rel=\"attachment wp-att-19487\" href=\"https:\/\/thebkmag.com\/2011\/07\/04\/happy-4th-of-july\/fourth\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-19487\" title=\"fourth\" src=\"https:\/\/thebkmag.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/fourth.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"510\" height=\"340\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-19487\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">4th of July<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Historians have long disputed whether Congress actually signed the  Declaration of Independence on July 4, even though Thomas Jefferson,  John Adams, and <a title=\"Benjamin Franklin\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Benjamin_Franklin\">Benjamin Franklin<\/a> all later wrote that they had signed it on that day. Most historians  have concluded that the Declaration was signed nearly a month after its  adoption, on August 2, 1776, and not on July 4 as is commonly believed.<sup id=\"cite_ref-7\"><a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Independence_Day_%28United_States%29#cite_note-7\"><\/a><\/sup><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In a remarkable coincidence, both John Adams and Thomas Jefferson,  the only signers of the Declaration of Independence later to serve as <a title=\"President of the United States\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/President_of_the_United_States\">Presidents of the United States<\/a>,  died on the same day: July 4, 1826, which was the 50th anniversary of  the Declaration. Although not a signer of the Declaration of  Independence, <a title=\"James Monroe\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/James_Monroe\">James Monroe<\/a>, the Fifth <a title=\"President of the United States\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/President_of_the_United_States\">President of the United States<\/a>, died on <a title=\"July 4\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/July_4\">July 4<\/a>, <a title=\"1831\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/1831\">1831<\/a>. <a title=\"Calvin Coolidge\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Calvin_Coolidge\">Calvin Coolidge<\/a>, the Thirtieth President, was born on <a title=\"July 4\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/July_4\">July 4<\/a>, <a title=\"1872\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/1872\">1872<\/a>, and thus was the only President to be born on Independence Day.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:
