{"id":10106,"date":"2010-09-10T12:43:59","date_gmt":"2010-09-10T10:43:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thebkmag.com\/?p=10106"},"modified":"2010-09-10T12:43:59","modified_gmt":"2010-09-10T10:43:59","slug":"10106","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thebkmag.com\/rebuild\/eclectic\/10106\/","title":{"rendered":"Ben&#039;s Kefta Meat Balls"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>From time to time I will be sharing <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/thebkmag.com\/2009\/07\/25\/bens-chicken-soup\/\" target=\"_blank\">my recipes<\/a><\/strong> of cuisine that I have prepared and have been asked to share.\u00a0 This IS an eclectic site and it does use the word &#8220;creative&#8221; in it&#8217;s description, so here goes&#8230;<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-10161\" title=\"keftaben\" src=\"https:\/\/thebkmag.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/kefta-laura.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"480\" height=\"640\" srcset=\"https:\/\/thebkmag.com\/rebuild\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/kefta-laura.jpg 480w, https:\/\/thebkmag.com\/rebuild\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/kefta-laura-225x300.jpg 225w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 480px) 100vw, 480px\" \/><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #333333;\"><strong>For 6\u00a0 Large Servings <\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #333333;\"><strong>Large is a very subjective term and<\/strong><\/span><span style=\"color: #333333;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #333333;\"> depends on which country you&#8217;re living in<\/span>! \ud83d\ude09<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n750 grams total of ground beef and or lamb (can mix the two)<br \/>\n2 medium eggs<br \/>\n4-6 cloves of garlic ( you can add more if you are a real Garlic Lover)<br \/>\n2 medium onions<br \/>\nParsley (lots)<br \/>\nMint<br \/>\nBread crumbs (optional)<br \/>\nCoriander<br \/>\nCumin<br \/>\nCinnamon (optional)<br \/>\nHarissa<br \/>\nDijon mustard<br \/>\nConcentrated tomato sauce (preferably in a tube) easily reusable<br \/>\n1 beef bouillon cube<br \/>\nSunflower or Corn Oil<br \/>\nSalt<br \/>\nPepper<br \/>\nSugar<br \/>\nPrepare a large glass bowl.<br \/>\n-Place the ground meat in to the bowl and&#8230;<br \/>\n-crack open the 2 eggs and add to the ground beef<br \/>\n-finely chop up the medium onions and add to the ground beef<br \/>\n-finely chop the 4-6 cloves of garlic and add to the bowl<br \/>\n-finely chop up around 10 cl of Parsley or around 8 tablespoons and add to the mix<br \/>\n-finely chop up between 12-18 mint leaves and add to the mix<br \/>\n-Add\u00a0 1 and a half teaspoons of Cumin<br \/>\n-Add a 1\/2 of a teaspoon of Coriander<br \/>\n-Add 1 teaspoon of Cinnamon (optional)<br \/>\n-Add a 1\/4 to a 1\/2 a teaspoon of Harissa (some like them hotter than others)<br \/>\n-Melt the 1 beef bouillon cube in 3 cl (2 table spoons) of hot water (melts a lot faster if boiled) add to the mix<br \/>\n-1 large tea spoon of Dijon Mustard add to mix<br \/>\n-1 large table spoon of concentrated tomato sauce add to mix<br \/>\n-1 teaspoon of salt<br \/>\n-Half a teaspoon of pepper<br \/>\n-1 teaspoon of sugar<br \/>\n-Add 1 and a half tablespoon&#8217;s of sunflower seed oil or corn oil<br \/>\n-Add 2-4 large tablespoons of Bread Crumbs to the mix (only if the mix is too watery)<br \/>\nWash your hands with soap and water and dry them. Mix it all with your hands until the bread crumbs and eggs have melded well with the mixture and the mix is like a dough.\u00a0 If the mix is still too watery add another tablespoon of bread crumbs.<br \/>\nForm oval shaped meat balls<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-10109\" title=\"KeftaDetail\" src=\"https:\/\/thebkmag.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/Detalle_Kefta-590x442.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"590\" height=\"442\" \/><br \/>\nPreheat Oven to 200 C or around 350 F and bake until brown on the exterior.\u00a0 Generally no more than 10-12 minutes.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-10110\" title=\"keftapreparedforoven\" src=\"https:\/\/thebkmag.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/keftapreparedforoven.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"480\" height=\"360\" srcset=\"https:\/\/thebkmag.com\/rebuild\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/keftapreparedforoven.jpg 480w, https:\/\/thebkmag.com\/rebuild\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/keftapreparedforoven-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 480px) 100vw, 480px\" \/><br \/>\nServe with Bulgar wheat or other Greek or Lebanese delicacies.
